No. Supported iPhones can send up to 4K at 60 Hz through a compatible HDMI adapter. That describes the display connection, not the resolution or frame rate a game renders.

Actual gaming performance depends on the phone, title and settings. Dockade’s final display modes and cooling benefits still need prototype testing. Read the gaming and cooling notes.

For someone whose favorite games already run well on their phone, that’s the possibility we want to explore. A dock won’t add console exclusives or turn every phone into the same gaming machine. Think of Dockade as another way to enjoy the games your phone can already play.

That’s part of the plan. We’re developing TV docking and charging support for the original Nintendo Switch (including the 2019 revision), Switch OLED, and Steam Deck LCD and OLED. None has been validated with a Dockade prototype yet; we’ll confirm the tested models and power requirements before taking orders.

Switch 2 support is under evaluation and isn’t confirmed. Switch Lite does not support TV output. For supported handhelds, the dock’s extra fan can be switched off while their own internal cooling keeps running.

No. Use a supported Bluetooth controller paired to your phone, or connect a compatible wired accessory to USB-C DATA with the appropriate cable. Support depends on the accessory, phone and game. There’s no controller bundle planned.

Connect your charger to the socket labelled POWER. The adjacent DATA socket is for a compatible USB accessory; it is not a second charger input. The attached lead connects the dock to your phone.

One fan draws room air from underneath and directs it onto the exposed back of the phone. Four low silicone pads leave an air gap above the fan grille. The circular orange dial adjusts fan speed and has a fan-only off position. The dock is designed around bare phones in stationary, horizontal use.

We still need to measure temperature, noise and sustained gaming performance on a physical prototype. There are no verified cooling or frame-rate gains yet.

The price target covers the dock and its attached phone lead. Plan to bring your own phone, controller, TV, suitable USB-C charger, charging cable and HDMI cable. We’ll confirm the full contents and power requirements before launch. Taxes and shipping aren’t included in this target.

Target first-batch shipping: March 2028. This means dispatch; delivery time will depend on your destination. It’s a development estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date.

We plan to move into prototype development if 100 people register their interest by December 31, 2026. To stay on this schedule, we need a working prototype and production funding by June 30, 2027, followed by successful manufacturing validation. If those milestones slip, we’ll update the timeline.

This starts as a part-time project. At 1,000 signups, we plan to devote more time to development while keeping the same shipping target. Signups help us decide whether to proceed; production still needs enough paid orders or other funding.

Our plan allows time for prototypes and supplier selection in early 2027, followed by engineering, testing, tooling and trial production, with the first batch targeted for March 2028. Joining is free and puts you on the list for build updates and launch news. It doesn’t reserve a unit or place an order. We’re not taking payments.
